The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a shelf on a NW-facing slope overlooking a S-N stream c. 80m distant to the W and an E-W stream c. 230m to the N. Subcircular scrub-covered area (dims. 31m E-W; 27m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.6-1m) SW-N--NE (downslope), with a scarp down to the interior (max. H 0.6m) elsewhere. It is surrounded by a field bank SW-NNE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
