The National Monuments Service's description

Located in pasture on a W-facing slope at the mouth of the N-S Dalligan River, with the stream c. 270m to the W and the sea c. 240m to the SW. It is described as a cairn which was destroyed c. 1920 (NMI file). Some clearance material is still evident. Cairn (WA032-022001-) is c. 120m to the W, ringfort (WA032-024----) is c. 150m to the NNE, and ringfort (WA032-026----) is c. 160m to the ESE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
