The National Monuments Service's description
According to Power (1952, 133) in Ringaphuca, 'On the left bank of a little stream falling into the Colligan is the traditional site of an early burial ground. An old road crossed the river by a ford at the same spot, and was continued in an easterly direction'. Though Power's description indicates that the burial ground is located towards the western end of the S bank of the stream, as indicated by the position of the ford on the 25-inch OS map, the precise location of this burial ground is unknown and there was no visible trace at ground level when inspected in 1990. Also there is a possibility that Power was confusing this burial ground with the burial ground (WA031-026----) immediately N of the stream and this reference may in fact relate to that burial ground. The location indicated here should only be considered as indicative of the general area described by Power.
