The National Monuments Service's description

A limestone plaque (dims. 1.13m x 0.35-0.4m) with chamfered edges bears the inscription 'Patrick Gough AH' and the date 1618 carved in false relief. It is built into the wall of a house on Church St. (Bradley et al. 1989, vol. 1, 19)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
