The National Monuments Service's description
Located on top of a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 38m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 4.5-5m; int. H 0.5-1.2m; ext. H 1-1.7m) with internal (NW-SE) and external (NW-NE) stone-facing. An entrance (Wth 2.5m) at SE might not be original, and there is no visible fosse. A rath (WA031-010----) is immedately adjacent to the NE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
Compiled by: Michael Moore. Date of upload: 25th August, 2011.
