The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 38m NE-SW; 35m NW-SE) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3-4m; H 0.4-0.8m) with an outer fosse (Wth of top 4.5-5m; Wth of base 2m). A slight berm (Wth c. 1.5m) separates the bank and fosse at S. An outer field bank (Wth 2m; H 0.7-0.9m) with stone-facing surrounds the site SW-N-SE, but this is just an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; ext. H 0.9m) elsewhere. The entrance through the inner (Wth 2.4m) and outer (Wth 2.5m) banks is at SE, and the site is planted with coniferous trees.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
