The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a broad plateau c. 50m from a stream that curves around it W-S. This is a D-shaped area (dims. c. 45m NE-SW; c. 40m NW-SE) visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (MM (60) 35-6). It is truncated by a NE-SW field bank at NW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
