The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a large circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 70m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on a slight SE-facing slope in a field known as the Lios field. It is visible on vertical aerial photographs (ACAP V165/64-5). It is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 53m) defined by a slight scarp, with traces of an external fosse at N. There is no visible entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
