The National Monuments Service's description

Located in a low cliff-face on the NW-facing foreshore on the E side of Tramore Bay. This is a black layer (L c. 1.5m; T c. 0.15m) with some charcoal lumps and a small quantity of shells, pebbles and larger stones (dims. 18-20cm). It is visible in the section at the junction of the glacial till with the overlying sand, but the cliff face to the NE and SW of this section has been eroded.
