The National Monuments Service's description

Located in a low cliff-face on the NW-facing foreshore on the E side of Tramore Bay. This is a layer of tightly packed cockles and periwinkles (L c. 3.2m; T 0.25m). The midden partially overlies a burnt mound (WA027-025002-) which lies immediately to the N. It is visible in the cliff section at the junction of the glacial till (H 0.55-0.75m) with the overlying sand (H 0.9-1.1m).
