The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture towards the top of a gentle W-facing slope at the S end of a N-S ridge, it is not visible at ground level. The possible ringfort (WA025-050----) is c. 80m to the SSW, and evidence of metalworking (WA025-127----) was recovered c. 100m to the SSE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
