The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the crest of a SW-facing slope. This is a large, subrectangular grass-covered area (dims. 74m E-W; 62m N-S) defined by a stone-faced field bank at E, a straightened earthen bank at N, a bank and revetted road bank at S and a slight earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.95m) at W. The latter may be the only part of the original boundary that survives. There is no visible fosse or identifiable entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
