The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on top of a low hill. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 27m) defined by an overgrown earthen bank, with some internal stone-facing (at W: Wth 3.7m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 1.2m) and an outer flat-bottomed fosse (at W: Wth of base 2.6m; D 1.3m). An external field bank (at W: Wth 3.2m; ext. H 1m) might incorporate part of the original outer bank. The original entrance is not identified.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
