The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a SE-facing slope on the W side of the N-S Finisk River, with the stream c. 200m to the E. This is the parish church of Modeglio, within a D-shaped graveyard (dims. c. 60m NE-SW; c. 50m NW-SE) backing onto a NW-SE road at SW. The church was still functioning in 1607. This is an undifferentiated structure (int. dims. 15.5m E-W; 7.4m N-S) of which the E and W gables, and the S wall survive with cut-stone quoins. A segmental-arched entrance (Wth 1.1m) is towards the W end of the S wall, with a cupboard to the E which may have housed a stoup. There is a plain light of dressed sandstone in the E wall and another at the E end of the S wall. There is also an ogee-headed window in the W gable, but a possible graveslab with a Latin inscription that was inside the church could not be found. (Power 1897b, 224-7)
