The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a small enclosed D-shaped wood (dims. c 40m N-S; c. 40m E-W) defined by straight field banks at E and S only on the 1923 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described as 'Little Liss'. Situated in pasture towards the top of a gentle W-facing slope, it is not visible at ground level in pasture.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
