The National Monuments Service's description

According to Power (1905, 123) a traditional ancient road could be traced beginning c. 2 km W of Lismore on the minor road leading to Glencairn, down the avenue to the farm of Lismore Castle, and E along a field bank towards the castle. On the E side of the town it follows a minor road through Ballyea to Drumroe to the ford of Affane (L c. 8km).
