The National Monuments Service's description
Located on an E-facing slope. Archaeological testing (04E0036) by Linda Hegarty of Headland Archaeology identified an area of burning (L 0.84m; T 11cm) in an oxidized subsoil, with a similar feature (dims. 0.9m x 0.6m; D 4cm) 15m to the W. Another similar area (dims. 0.9m x 0.54m; D 0.1m) overlying a post-hole was 3.4m further W. Excavated features (WA009-038----) are c. 80m to the NNE, and excavated features (WA009-040----) are c. 145m to the ESE. (Hegarty 2007a)
