The National Monuments Service's description

The parish church of St Mary's or Our Lady's. References date from 1468 but little is known of its history. Phillips' map (1685) shows a small rectangular structure, while a map (1672) published in Ryland (1824, 106ff.) depicts a church with a spire between the nave and chancel. The site is occupied by the present Franciscan priory and three 16th- and 17th-century grave-covers (WA009-005113- to WA009-005115-) are associated with it. (Bradley et al. 1989, vol. 2, 245-7)

Bradley, J., Halpin, A. and King, H. (1989) Urban archaeology Survey of Waterford City and County, 2 vols. Unpublished report commissioned by the Office of Public Works.
