The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a SE-facing slope overlooking a slight basin to the SE. A shale stone (dims. 0.3m x 0.2m; H 1.2m) oriented NE-SW with a pointed top. The SE-facing side is damaged although this does not appear to have affected the height of the stone. A possible standing stone (WA008-048----) is c. 160m to SE, with standing stone WA008-051001- and embanked enclosure site WA008-051002- c. 150m to S.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
