The National Monuments Service's description
Located on a SE-facing slope. This is a slightly dished, grass-covered subcircular area (dims. 48m NW-SE; 42m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 0.5-1m), with an external round-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 9-11m; int. D 0.3-0.6m; ext. D 0.6-1.2m) NW-NE. It is circumscribed by a field bank S-NW, and the entrance (Wth 3m) is a slight dip in the perimeter at SE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
