The National Monuments Service's description

Visible as a faint cropmark on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP, S 677-8), and situated on low-lying ground at the bottom of a W-E valley. Dished, grass-covered subcircular area (dims. 30.5m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by a widely spread bank (max. Wth 6-8m; H c. 0.2m). The entrance at E is evident as a slight dip in the perimeter.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
