The National Monuments Service's description
On the grounds of the 'Model Farm' house. According to OS Namebook the stone formerly lay beside the gable of an adjacent church (TS087-019----) (O'Donovan 1840). The boulder (diam. 0.6m x 0.5m; D 0.34m), sandstone with quartz inclusions, has a circular depression (diam. 0.3m) which narrows as it deepens and perforates the base of the stone. Possible bullaun stone as it conforms to the morphology of a bullaun stone except that it has a perforated base.
