The National Monuments Service's description
On the S-facing slope of a long ridge, overlooking a river valley, the river being 100m to the S. This enclosure is marked on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map as an irregular oval area (dims. c. 56m N-S; c. 80m E-W) but is not depicted on the subsequent 2nd (1907) ed. map. Though levelled, the enclosure is visible as a sub-rectangular area (diam. c. 56m N-S; c. 60m E-W). The N side is delineated by a gradual fall of slope towards the interior and the W quadrant by a slight broad flattened bank. The S side is defined by a field boundary, with a pool of water running along the interior.
