The National Monuments Service's description
On the W side of the town, N of Main Street. The medieval church of St. Nicholas of Myra (TS085-004006-) appears to have survived until c. 1813 when it was demolished and replaced by a C of I church (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 1, 63). Graveslab (dims. 1.25m x 0.59m) lying c. 5m S of the E end of the C of I church. It is decorated with a lozenge-shaped cross with trefoil terminals rising from a simple curving calvary mount, however, the decoration is badly eroded. There is a raised border (Wth 0.075m) but no inscription apparent. (Farrelly and FitzPatrick 1993).
