The National Monuments Service's description
On a SE-facing, gentle slope in undulating terrain. The surrounding field has been cut for hay. It appears to be a roughly circular area from map depiction (diam. c. 35m N-S; c. 40m E-W), enclosed by a low, broad earth and stone bank which is overgrown with small trees. In the NW quadrant the bank has been levelled as depicted on the 2nd (1901-05) ed. OS 6-inch map. A field boundary runs roughly E-W along the S edge of the monument and abutts the S quadrant. The S side has a good length of bank which is clear of vegetation, however, at time of inspection most of the enclosure was very overgrown and the interior inpenetrable.
