The National Monuments Service's description
Inserted as a window jamb into the S wall of St. Mary's church (TS083-019001-). A 13th/14th century sandstone graveslab (L 1.2m), decorated with an incised cross. The head of the cross is lozenge-shaped with trefoil terminals and there is a knop on the shaft. The base has been broken off. The graveslab was deliberately scored with two horizontal lines to give the appearance of three separate jambstones for the E jamb of this 19th-century window.
