The National Monuments Service's description
On top of a ridge, sloping slightly to S with a depression immediately N of the monument which may be the result of quarrying. In hilly terrain, under pasture. Roughly circular ringfort (diam. 39m N-S; 38.5 E-W) enclosed by a bank with an impressive profile in the N quadrant (Wth 2m crest, 6.2m base; int. H 0.62m; ext. H 2.17m), external height may be exaggerated by external quarrying, bedrock is exposed at the base of the bank. In the SE and SW quadrants the bank is 1.3m above the exterior. There is a cattle gap in the SW quadrant (Wth 1.1m) and in the NW (0.6m). There is an entrance in the E quadrant (Wth 1.8m). There is a hollow in the centre of the ringfort (diam. 2.6m N-S; 2.8m E-W; D 0.43) with a slight bank (Wth 1.3m; ext. H 0.2m) around the perimeter, possibly a result of robbing or a collapsed souterrain. An external field bank with a stone revettment runs concentric with the ringfort in the W-S-E sectors.
