The National Monuments Service's description

In a hollow, towards the bottom of a NW-facing slope, surrounded by undulating pasture. The 25-inch OS map depicts a roughly circular platform (dims. c. 16m N-S; c. 18m E-W) enclosed by a berm (Wth 7m-10m) and outer bank. The interior is heavily overgrown with scrub. The platform, defined by gently sloping scarp (H 0.57m) appears to occupy the hollow and is surrounded by a wide fosse (Wth 4.5m) and steep counterscarp (Wth of slope 4.3m; H 1.95m) or bank which was only slightly raised above the exterior. The counterscarp bank is incorporated in a barony boundary from N to E.
