The National Monuments Service's description

On the crest of a hill in undulating terrain, under tillage. Monument depicted on 1st (1840) ed. and 2nd (1904-05) ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular enclosure. On the later edition a small quarry is shown immediately N of the enclosure. The monument has been levelled with no visible trace above ground. However, it shows up as a cropmark on an aerial photograph (ASIAP (32) 0-2, 3-8-1996). Since 1904-05 the field boundaries to S and E of the enclosure have also been removed. A post and wire fence runs NW-SE almost immediately E of the monument.
