Just off crest of hill on E-facing slope in undulating terrain, enclosed by tillage to NW-N-W-SW. Immediately E planted with young deciduous trees. Interior nettle and thistle filled at time of inspection. Ash trees and thorn bushes growing around outer edge of inner bank and scrub and brambles in fosse in SW quadrant only. Roughly circular area (diam. 45.6m NW-SE; 43.7m NE-SW) defined by substantial inner bank (Wth 1.7-3.4m crest, 5.3-6.7m base; deep, flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 2.3-3.2m) and outer bank (Wth 2-1.2m crest; 4.4m-2.35m base; H above fosse 1.3-1.13; H above ext. 0.18-0.25m) measurements in NW and SE quadrants. Cattle gap (Wth 1.4m) though inner bank. Outer bank terminates in NW c. 3m NE of this a field boundary which runs WNW-ESE. Short gravel roadway runs up towards E entrance. Vegetable garden to N and disturbed ground and concrete storage area to S. Entrance in E quadrant has been widened (Wth c. 6.6m) to allow machinery access to interior, brambles obscuring S terminal. Outer bank terminates in E with a wall (5 block courses) built into former area of bank. Fosse at this point is obscured by dense bramble growth. Small cattle gap in internal bank (Wth 1m) in W quadrant with slight causeway across fosse, no break in outer bank.
