The National Monuments Service's description

On an E-facing slope, below the brow of Bohernarnane hill in the Galtee Mountains. A small 19th-century upland farmstead. The ruinous house (int. dims. 4.6m E-W; 3.2m N-S; wall max. H 0.5m) with an entrance in the S wall (Wth 1.1m) is located in the NW angle of a roughly square yard (int. dims. 16m N-S; 16.5m E-W; wall Wth 1.8m; max. H 1.46m). There is a mass of tumbled masonry at the E gable suggesting this was where the chimney was located. There is another ruinous building 4m to the S which is aligned N-S (diam. 5.4m N-S; 4.8m E-W though tapering to 2.7m E-W at the S end). There are two entrances to the yard, one (Wth 2.4m) at the E end of the S wall, 4.3m from the SE angle, and the other (Wth 2m) at the E end of the N wall. The E wall continues northward beyond the entrance for 6.4m, this is indicated on the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map as the W wall of a small haggard (dims. c. 22m N-S; c. 10m E-W) adjoining the farmyard. A small field (dims. c. 56m N-S; c. 27m E-W) runs southward from the S wall of the farmyard and haggard. A trackway is indicated on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map running up from the S near, but not to, the farmyard, however, on Digitalglobe satellite imagery this trackway can be seen continuing northward, past the E side of the farmstead.
