The National Monuments Service's description

A bridge called 'Burncourt Old Br.' is depicted on the 1st (1843) and 2nd (1907) ed. OS 6-inch map. The bridge at this location is a single span bridge of 18th-century with cut and dressed voussoirs and a projecing keystone. It is a single phase bridge. There is no evidence of a pre-1700 monument at this location.
