The National Monuments Service's description
On a S-facing slope of Slievenamon in undulating rough pasture with a lot of thistles and nettles, particularly in the area of the monument. Monument levelled between its depiction on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map (1840 ed.) and 1901-05 ed. with no visible trace at ground level. Field boundaries to N and W of monument are still intact. A kink in the N field boundary may respect the curving NE quadrant of the former earthwork. It is depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly D-shaped enclosure (dims. c. 37m N-S; c. 44m E-W).
