The National Monuments Service's description

On an E-facing slope of lower foothills of Slievenamon in wet, marshy terrain. Ringfort (TS071-027----) clearly visible on opposing hillslope to E. Monument enclosed by young coniferous plantation c. 14m to N and W and by rough pasture to E and S. Ringfort itself is overgrown with brambles and gorse with bushes around the bank. Roughly circular area (diam. 42m N-S; 37.5m E-W, though the E quadrant has been truncated by a narrow laneway). Laneway continues around the S quad.rant at external base of bank. Bank (Wth 2.2m crest, 3.5m base; int. H 0.28-0.52m; ext. H 0.5-1.2m - dimensions in W and N quadrants respectively) is best preserved in N and NW sectors. It is composed of clay and gravel. No visible evidence of a fosse. Some boulders dumped on bank in W quadrant. No identifiable entrance, may have been destroyed by laneway. Interior is very uneven. According to local tradition there is a 'cave' at this ringfort, possibly referring to souterrain (TS078-003001-).
