The National Monuments Service's description
On very gentle S-facing slope, off crest of low hill, with pond on W side. Hill has been quarried out on W side. In pasture. Large scale quarrying has taken place in field adjoining land to E. Monument idenified as a circular enclosure on aerial photograph (GSI S.788/9 May 1977). The enclosure has been partially levelled (diam. 30m NW-SE) and is visible as a low, broad bank (Wth 8.3m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.47m) and outer fosse visible in the N quadrant where it has been cut into the hill (Wth 3.4m; D 0.32m) and slight trace in E quadrant. The bank in the N quadrant
is the best preserved, that in the E sector peters out to S while the bank in the W quadrant is not visible above ground. N bank slopes gradually to interior. Field boundary which ran NW-SE through the enclosure has been removed.
