The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle SW-facing slope in hilly terrain, under tillage. This monument is indicated on the 1901-05 ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped area (map dims. 35m N-S; 38m E-W) surrounded by a fosse (overall map dims. 63m N-S; 64m E-W) with a clearly defined entrance to the SSW. It was described by Power (1908, 24) when explaining the meaning of the townland name 'Edenmore' which he translates as '"Great Brow" - The name is perhaps derived in the present instance from a large lios with high ramparts'. There is no visible trace of this monument above ground. According to local information it was levelled c. 20 years ago (c. 1989). There is a ringfort (TS076-044----) c. 350m to the NNW and another ringfort 'Rathmore' c. 820m to the E.
