Remains of bawn (dims. 66.7m N-S; 37m E-W) visible SW of tower house (TS076-042001-), at a slightly lower level. Bawn is described in Civil Survey (1654-6) 'Upon the sd lands stands a castle, the walles of two houses with a bawne about them' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 303). The tower house is located on limestone outcrop in the NE angle of the bawn. Lot of disturbed ground in interior. The bawn is delineated by a low broad bank on W and S side (Wth 8.2m; H above int. 0.69m; H above ext. 0.18m), by scarp on N side (Wth 3.8m; H 0.86m) and by quarry face on E side. No definable entrance.
