The National Monuments Service's description
On a fairly steep NW-facing slope at the foot of Galtymore in the Galty mountain range, in rough meadow. A road runs along the N-E-SE sector of the ringfort, curving out to respect the monument, however, it does truncate the outer bank. An oval, bivallate ringfort (diam. 41m N-S; 33m E-W) enclosed by a bank largely reduced to scarp (Wth 2-4.5m; int. H 1m; ext. H 0.74-1.08m), fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.17--0.67m) and external bank (Wth 5.4m; ext. H 1m) visible in the SE-S-W sector. The outer bank is incorporated in a NE-SW field boundary in the N quadrant. The interior is divided by a post and wire fence, with a gate, running roughly NW-SE through the centre. The ground in the interior in the NE sector has been disturbed, perhaps as a result of shallow quarrying. The interior slopes NW with the natural hill slope. There is a lot of stone in the bank composition. The bank is damaged in the S and WNW quadrants by a tractor path.
