In the graveyard (TS070-040044-) of the Augustinian abbey (TS070-040004-), lying on its sinister side against the internal E wall of the N transept, adjacent to the exterior of the N wall of the nave. The upper dexter side of this slab has broken away and the lower sinister corner is missing. This slab (L 1.9m; Wth 0.68m; average T 0.12m) is decorated with a seven-armed segmental-headed cross, in relief, with fleur-de-lis terminals. The cross head has motifs in the four central sections, consisting of a vine-leaf, a marigold, a trefoil and a cross moline. There is a three-barred knop at the base of the cross-head and another at the base of the cross-shaft. The cross-shaft rests on a pillar-base form. According to Maher (1997, 58) an inscription, in Roman lettering which reads: PROSE. SUAQUE/PROGENIE. 24..../REDMU.... commences at the base and continues along the dexter side and across the top of the slab. The slab appears to have been more intact when Knowles (1903, 125) translated the inscription as: Redmund Vinn, who caused this stone to be erected to the memory of himself and his children, 24 December ....
