The National Monuments Service's description
On a gradual E-facing slope with the Clashawley River running N-S at base of slope in area of densely planted conifers. Monument appears to be levelled. Stone boundary wall depicted on OS 6-inch map as running roughly E-W along the NW sector, possibly truncated the enclosing element. This wall is still standing. On the 2nd ed. OS 6-inch map (1903-04) the monument is depicted as roughly circular in shape (int. diam. c. 40m) enclosed by a bank and outer fosse from the SE-S-SW and from the N-E-SE and in the W the bank appears to be denuded to scarp with traces of outer fosse. There is no visible trace of the monument at ground level.
