The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle SE-facing slope in undulating pastureland with the river Suir flowing 300-700m to the S-SW-W. An oval area (43.4m N-S; 51.5m NE-SW) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth at crest 2m; Wth at base 4.5m; H above int. 0.25-0.5m; H above ext. 0.2-0.35m). In the S quadrant are the remains of Derrycloney church (TS068-098001-). On the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map the graveyard is indicated by a dashed line as an unenclosed, roughly D-shaped area (c. 38m E-W; c. 16m N-S) extending S and E of the church, with the church forming the W end of the N boundary. There is no graveyard indicated on the 1900-05 ed. A possible enclosure (TS068-099----) is located c. 80m to the E.
