The National Monuments Service's description

In improved pasture, on a SE-facing slope. Identified during field survey by Alison McQueen and Vera Rahilly (28 November 2008). A sub-oval area (dims. 24m NNE-SSW; 20m ESE-WNW) defined by the remains of a levelled bank (Wth 3.45m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.05m) SSW-W-NNE with the slight trace of a fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.15m) all around. The bank is truncated by a field fence running NNE-SSW across the ESE sector. A small portion of the bank in the SW quadrant tapers off on the other side of the field fence. The interior slopes to ESE with the prevalent slope. There is a trough in the SE quadrant at the field fence and a large area of concrete to the ESE holding it in place. Consequently an area on both sides of the field fence is deeply poached by cattle.
