The National Monuments Service's description
Within Kilvemnon graveyard (TS063-063003-) immediately S of the former S wall of the church (TS063-063001-). A limestone slab (L 1.78m; Wth 0.61m; T 0.15m) which is straight sided (D 0.05m) and then chamfered (Wth 0.11m) towards the base. It is decorated in false relief with a cross with trefoil-headed terminals and a crown of thorns centrally placed behind the cross head. Beneath the cross head there is a three-bar knop on the cross shaft. The shaft, which is ribbed, rests on a curving calvary mount. In the upper dexter corner there is a moon with a face and on the sinister side there is a sun. There are two rectangular panels on either side of the cross shaft. There is a plain border (Wth 0.09m) around the edge of the slab but no evidence of an inscription. The slab has been partially broken along the lower edge. The decoration on this slab suggests it is of late medieval date.
