The National Monuments Service's description
On the E-facing slope of a roughly N-S orientated ridge, excavated in advance of construction of the N8 Cashel Bypass and N74 Link Road South. A subcircular pit (dims. 0.92m x 0.9m; D 0.4m) contained 29 sherds of prehistoric pottery and two small retouched flints (O'Flanagan 2006, 474). A pit-burial (TS061-164----) containing similar pottery was excavated 2.4m to the ESE (Hughes and Macleod 2003, 12). A group of post-holes (TS061-173----) less than 20m to the N may be associated with these pits (O'Flanagan 2006, 474).
