The National Monuments Service's description
The location of the original Lady's Well was in a field at the junction of Lady's Well Street and Bohereenglass. The present well, although channelled from the same stream as the original, is a recent monument erected at the junction of the main Dublin and Holycross roads. According to local information the original well was totally covered during the construction of a large housing development on the site during the 1950s.
