The National Monuments Service's description
Lying in the choir of the cathedral (TS061-025003-) on the Rock of Cashel. A broken limestone slab (L 1.53m; Wth at base 0.68), only pieces of the top survive, some concreted into position. It is also cracked across the face beneath the barred knop and above the cross-base. It is a three-armed trefoil-headed cross, with a three-barred knop beneath the cross-head. The cross-shaft is raised in false relief. The cross-base is too worn to decipher its form. Inscription in Roman capitals around the border. According to Fitzgerald (1903, 442) this slab 'is probably of the seventeenth century, as the letters are in Roman capitals; they run round the edge, and are only deciperable in places. What can be made out is:- ...VS [BVT]LER.DE.RA[T]HOON.GENEROS / VS.QVI.......ET / [HEL]ENA.BVTLER / EIVS.VXOR.QVI OBYT.....'.
