The National Monuments Service's description
In improved pasture, on a gentle ENE-facing slope, on upper edge of flood plain of River Suir. Oval area (dims. 110m N-S; 55m E-W) defined by remains of levelled bank (overall Wth 6.7m; Wth at top 2m; int. H 0.18m; ext. H 0.7m) SSE-SW and at NNW-N which has been modified SW-N, where pushed in to create a counter scarp on interior and a low bank on exterior. A gradual scarp (Wth 10.5m; H 3.2m) N-SSE is on upper edge of flood plain. Fosse (overall Wth 5.85m; basal Wth 0.65m; D 0.5m) SSE-SW and backfilled SW-N; no evidence of fosse seen around riverside scarp. Possible causeway (Wth 3m) at SW. Interior is sloping downwards to ENE with prevalent slope. Monument incorporated into field as pasture. Wall (long axis NNW-SSE; T 0.4m; H 1.3m max.) truncates monument across ENE-sector. Interior has a wide gully to E-side of field boundary (off-centre to N) which drains into river to ENE.
