The National Monuments Service's description
In a locally prominent position on top of a broad gently sloping rise in gently undulating pasture on the summit of the external bank of a bowl-barrow (TS057-015001-). There are excellent views in all directions. A sandstone standing stone (0.85m x 0. 35m; H 1m) rectangular in plan and orientated NW-SE. The stone leans to the SW. Packing stones are visible on the SW side of the base. The surface of the stone is weathered.
