The National Monuments Service's description
In a locally prominent position, on top of a broad gently sloping rise, in gently undulating pasture. Originally circular, the bowl-barrow now consists of a roughly D-shaped raised area (dims. 16m N-S; 10m E-W) enclosed by a gently sloping earthen scarp (Wth 7m; ext. H 1.4m) with an broad flat-bottomed fosse (Wth at base 2.1m) and a very low broad external earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.1m; Wth at top 2m; overall Wth. 5m). From NNE-SE, the fosse and the external bank are absent and the scarp defining the interior is eroded back to form the straight side of the present D-shape. A roughly circular shallow pond (diam. c. 10m; max. D 0.5m) is located on the line of the fosse at NNE. The interior is level across the W two-thirds while the E one-third slopes gently facing E where the original scarp has been eroded back. A standing stone (TS057-015002-) is located on the top of the outer bank at SE.
