In reclaimed grassland on a W-facing slope of N-S ridge in upland area with good views in all directions, land immediately W of graveyard is wet and marshy and has not been reclaimed. The higher ground on which the graveyard was located has been reclaimed and a silage pit has been constructed at the N end of the ridge on which the graveyard was located. Burial ground consists of a short stretch of a low earth and stone bank (top Wth 3m; base Wth 5m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1m; L 15m) running N-S along the W face of this ridge. The external face of this bank has been eroded by livestock poaching with no skeletal material or archaeological activity visible in exposed section. No other features visible, land reclamation and construction of silage pit may have levelled any remains of a graveyard. On the first (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map the ‘Supposed Site of Grave Yard’ is indicated by a dashed line on the map indicating a roughly rectangular unenclosed area (dims. c. 26m N-S; c. 32m E-W. The graveyard is not indicated on the subsequent 1903 ed. OS 6-inch map. The linear earthwork may just represent the remains of a field boundary which may have acted as a boundary earthwork for the burial ground.
